Our estate is located in Valpantena, a few kilometers North East of Verona, about 350 mts above sea level; our olives come from traditionally grown olive trees, and are carefully handpicked one by one. Our Extra Virgin olive oil is obtained exclusively by mechanical pressing, without using any chemicals. Thanks to the characteristics of its environment but also of its standards and production practices of olive trees growing, Azienda Agricola Pernigo has been certified as Organic Farm. Characteristics of Maroni Extra Virgin Olive Oil and Monte Marseghina Extra Virgin Olive Oil.
Maroni: Extra Virgin Olive Oil, characterized by a sweet taste and delicate, harmonious, fruity aroma, a golden colour with light shades of green and very low free acidity. It is highly recommended for salad dishes, cooked meat and fish.
Marseghina: Obtained from younger trees – about ten years old – Marseghina Extra Virgin olive oil has extraordinary qualities of freshness, an intense aroma with a slightly pungent note and very low free acidity. Yellow with green shades, Marseghina is perfect for drizzling over soups, bruschetta, pinzimonio and cooked meat.
